SOLARIS FUSIONOPOLIS PHASE 2B (CONSULTANCY)

SOLARIS FUSIONOPOLIS PHASE 2B (CONSULTANCY)

Solaris Fusionopolis 2B was the second phase of a flagship development project that formed Singapore’s One North hub of research and business. Retained as its landscape consultant, Tropical Environment assisted in the development of Solaris’ highly lauded green design, from conceptual planning and material selection, to implementation guidance for the client’s site team. Aspects of this consultancy undertaking included gardened rooftops, a series of planted cascading terraces, a comprehensive rainwater harvesting system, and 1.4 kilometers of continuous planting over a spiral ramp that rises around the development. Guidance was also provided on the development and maintenance of a pre growing nursery in which plants were nurtured until they were ready to be transplanted on-site. With over 8,000 m2 of landscaping, the project’s vegetated areas exceed the area of the building’s original site, allowing superior insulation from solar heat gain and lowering the building's cooling energy consumption considerably.
