KHOO TECK PUAT HOSPITAL

KHOO TECK PUAT HOSPITAL

Earning Khoo Teck Phuat Hospital its reputation as a ‘Hospital in a Garden,’ the landscape at KTPH was created to promote healing, comfort and serenity through nature. Working in tandem with modern medicine, the vastly gardened environment is believed to imbue strong therapeutic qualities that empower patients to cope better with the stress and trauma of being ill, and recover faster from their physical ailments. The gardens at the KTPH also provide a pleasant environment for social support and privacy where ambulant patients can spend time with their loved ones outside the confines of the ward.

This project features over 16 landscaped areas, including:
• Planting along driveways, corridors, link bridges and balconies of inpatient wards
• Patient-orientated gardens at the ICU and Geriatric clinic
• Water gardens and boardwalks
• Courtyard, terrace and rooftop gardens (including an organic rooftop farm)
